Application Info

Mookie Jam is a not-for-profit organization created to assist artists living with multiple sclerosis. Each year, Mookie Jam awards grants to artists with MS to help pay for their continuing artistic endeavors as well as medical expenses.

Candidacy for assistance depends, among other factors, on the availability of funds and the number of eligible applicants, along with the following criteria:

  • The applicant must submit proof of diagnosis. Mookie Jam recommends contacting your doctor to obtain a letter of verification.
  • The applicant must be an artist with past and/or present professional experience. Professional experience can be established by providing programs, reviews, writing examples, pay stubs, portfolios, etc. Mookie Jam recommends sending as many examples as possible. Please do not send originals.
  • The applicant must show financial need by submitting tax returns, bank statements and/or any other information they feel will demonstrate their ongoing financial strain. Mookie Jam recommends sending as many examples as possible. Please do not send originals.
  • The applicant must provide a written explanation of how multiple sclerosis has affected their life, career and/or art.

We are now accepting applications for our 2011 Jam. Submissions are due by April 1st, 2011.
